Computer imaging is a surgeon’s communication/educational tool – and the patient’s visual aid for turning desires into reality.
When Dr. Goldman uses computer imaging – or Image Enhancement – as part of the initial consultation, it allows him to combine his years of experience with the best technology to meet your needs. Computer imaging involves taking digital photos, using them to create a template and then manipulating that template to take years off your face. You are totally involved in this entire educational process, which enables you to see the before and potential after results of the procedure you are considering. The use of computer imaging realistically aligns your goals and expectations – with reality.
Computer Imaging also ensures that Dr.Goldman’s vision coincides with your goals. By manipulating your image on the screen and using overlays, Dr.Goldman can show you proposed outcomes. It also helps him to learn and understand your facial architecture and what he will need to do to achieve your goals. For example – you may be considering a “nose job” because you’ve never been happy with your nose. By making very slight changes, Dr. Goldman can alter the size or shape of your nose – right before your own eyes - allowing you to see the customized outcome. If you are considering cheek implants, computer imaging will allow you to see the new volume and shape the implants will achieve in your mid-face. This is important so that the right size and shape implants can be chosen. Computer imaging is a most valuable tool for both you and Dr. Goldman.
Experience, skill and reliable techniques – along with a well-developed aesthetic sense have enabled Dr. Goldman to perform thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries with very predictable results.
Computer imaging or Image Enhancement is not a guarantee, however, of what your outcome will be. Healing is not a controlled factor in the surgical process. Every individual will heal at a different pace and yield individual results. The imaging process is amazing and a dynamic teaching tool – but you must also realize that the visual image on the screen is “two-dimensional” while your nose or lips for example are three dimensional in structure. Great skill and experience are required in using imageing for surgical planning – just as they are in actually performing the procedure (operation) itself. It’s important to know and consider these things when looking at any invasive surgical or non-surgical procedure.
Dr. Goldman is a highly trained, skilled and experienced surgeon who is also an artist. The computer screen is one of the high-tech instruments that enable him to use his artistic/aesthetic ability to create the changes that you have designed!
